Reading “I want more Latinos on my TV”-if it’s the same stereotypes/prototypes. NO. Latinos need to sort that out. WE need to do better. That new MundoFox ——my face -_- same whitewashed images. Let’s not mince words. Latino media is completely WHITEWASHED. cut it out. now. Keep it up. We do it to ourselves. Latinos want more Latino representation but it’s actually NOT representative AT ALL. Ever. Not ever. No. We keep pretending Latinos look like Kate Upton. Keep it up. Then complain later? Ok. It’s in OUR media. Spanish language media. Demand more. When I start seeing Indigenous and African-descended Latinos in our media. And often.Then I’ll shut up. Til then. No. I won’t close my mouth. We keep playing ourselves, over & over. Hoping for more but perpetuating the stereotypes ourselves? It’s ridiculous. It’s not funny anymore. Not supporting any Latino media that isn’t representative of Latin American diversity. None. I’m done with it. Done. Over. Bye. Good night. And short answer is yes, I want more Latinos on my tv - but diversity within that is key. Whitewashed Latinos isn’t. It never was.
